Pneumatic diaphragm pump has a very important part is the diaphragm, but in use, the diaphragm may be damaged, what reasons can lead to this phenomenon, metering pump manufacturers to introduce to you.

1, the material selection is not correct: the diaphragm should be selected according to the medium used, and some should be customized. For example, some membranes are not resistant to organic solvents, you play organic solvents, of course, easy to break. Diaphragm temperature resistance, the medium is conditional, especially the temperature.

2, correct and reasonable use: if the material is selected correctly, that is, the material of the diaphragm is just suitable for the use of the material transported by the pump, and the quality of the diaphragm itself is no problem. The fact that the diaphragm is easy to break should be related to whether it is used correctly. Diaphragm pump is often in high speed operation, often empty and half empty will affect the service life of the diaphragm. A large number of solid particles in the logistics will also affect the service life.

In addition, the life of the diaphragm is a certain value of the number of uses, 8 million to 20 million times, if used correctly, according to the low value can be used continuously for about 1000 hours to 3000 hours. If the diaphragm is always damaged, the possible factor is that the diaphragm material is not selected correctly. Click here to see the effect of solvent on diaphragm material of diaphragm pump. Hydraulic metering pump is used more and more in the current pump market, among which diaphragm metering pump is used more in special environment, but in use, due to some unsuitable operation or other reasons, it will lead to damage to the diaphragm, then once the hydraulic metering pump diaphragm damage is not replaced in time, it will lead to unsatisfactory results. So how to replace the damaged diaphragm of the metering pump? The pump industry introduces the replacement steps.

1. Remove the four screws securing the pump head. The screws are located on the back of the metering pump.

2. After the pump head is loose, adjust the stroke length to 0% position before removing the pump head. It can ensure that the electromagnetic shaft has sufficient pressure to maintain its connection, so that the diaphragm can be unscrewed.

3. Pull the hydraulic end outward to release the screw from the jack. Grab the liquid end and rotate counterclockwise. With a little resistance, it unscrews the diaphragm.

4. Once the diaphragm is removed, check the safety diaphragm of the hydraulic metering pump to ensure that it is intact and not damaged. Install the new diaphragm, turning the backplane and diaphragm clockwise until snaggly. Adjust the back plate so that the drain hole is located at the bottom of the pump.

5. After the diaphragm is installed and the backplane drain hole is placed in the vertical position, install the pump head. Ensure that the suction valve is aligned with the leakage discharge hole, and the hydraulic end screw is aligned with the corresponding four holes.

6. Turn to 99% of the stroke length. This allows the whole unit to rotate until the backplane drain hole is aligned with the bottom of the pump. Adjust the hydraulic end and diaphragm to the appropriate position during pump operation.

7. When the position of the hydraulic end connected to the backplane is adjusted, the four bolts are tightened diagonally until they fit. The work should be done with even force.
